TRANS-MISJA

TRANS-MISJA

The Kana Theater in Szczecin and Schloss Broellin in Broellin near Passewalk are linked by a common long history. The centers located less than 40 km apart, although operating in different countries, have been cooperating with each other since 1998. We started - at the time when we were just dreaming about joining the European Union - with the festival "Zivilisation - AntiZivilisation" (1998) and "ex ... it!" (1999), then there were several dozen other joint projects, productions, collaborations, residencies, subsequent festivals, as well as all-round programs based on the exchange of viewers and artists (program "Transkultra" 2009).

In the current situation, the cooperation that has been going on for many years encounters new difficulties related to the threats resulting from direct contact, inviting a large number of viewers, and organizing events gathering many artists.

Thanks to the funds from the Interreg VA Program as part of the "TRANS-MISJA" project, it was possible to compensate for technological differences - the Polish and German centers will have similar equipment, thanks to which it will be possible to build a common, diverse, exchange-based program that responds to the needs of various social groups cultural that will be available on both sides of the border. At the same time, we strive to make it as interactive as possible, based on authentic contact and connect people with similar interests. Thanks to modern equipment, this program will be able to be implemented in the perspective of many years, regardless of the external situation. Already this year, there will be several pilot events, promoted, broadcast and received by both partners.

broadcast events:
- concert LOTTO/DYNASONIC
- performance Anny Nowickiej - Migotanie
