WINDOW OKNO - CLOSE ENCOUNTERS: THE KANA’S VOICES: THE MATERNITY-DEN AND BEYOND

The May meeting of the theatre line will be focused on the performance "Mother: The Project" and the associated project "Matecznik" [Maternity-den] - a series of meetings related to the broadly understood topic of modern motherhood. The project has been carried out for two years. It was an opportunity to exchange ideas with outstanding experts, read valuable literature and learn the ways of development by means of subject-oriented creative workshops. We will come back to this meeting this May weekend once again. Besides the double presentation of the play "Mother: The Project", we would like to invite you to meet Małgorzata Łukowiak and discuss with her about the situation of mothers in the “500+ era”, as well as to participate in self-defense workshop for women led by Marta Grygier.

meeting with MAŁGORZATA ŁUKOWIAK
How does "family-friendly" policy affect "reproduction"? Does the present time affect the desire to have children? What is the future for us with the current state of education? We would like to touch these issues together while discussing with our guest Małgorzata Łukowiak.

Małgorzata Łukowiak is a legal adviser by profession. She runs a law firm specialized in copyright law. She authored the book "Projekt: Matka. Niepowieść". She is a mother of three.

self-defense workshop for women, led by MARTA GRYGIER
The workshop consists in sharing knowledge gained during training of MMA and self-defense. It is a physical training with elements of defense against attack, concentration and focusing attention on the partner. One part of the workshop will be an attempt to overcome physical fear.

Marta Grygier has been training MMA for 6 years. First she trained self-defense but quickly switched into MMA. She treats the trainings as a form of self-work that helps her overcome herself and toughen her character. For 17 years, she has been actively participating in the cultural life of Barlinek, taking care of and leading the youth’s theatre Wiatrak. She also works as an educator at the Voluntary Labour Corpses Training and Education Center in Barlinek. Most importantly, she is a mother of a ten-year-old boy.
