homino (Esperanto) - literally translated: an adult female human being
The new piece is a development and deepening of the creative process that begun with the performance Femino 2.0. The story is inspired by everyday life and it tells about femininity: how do we feel here and now, in a reality which is quite progressive, yet at the same time still not free from stereotypes, in a society of universal education and equally universal ignorance. This is an attempt to take a stance on ourselves and our bodies, to say out loud what is still shameful, to get accustomed with feminism, to answer the question: what is femininity, how do I deal with it, are femininity or masculinity similar, and is the context of gender/sexuality justified in the process of thinking about a human being? At the same time our performance and sheds light on the figures of women – artists, scientists, activists, revolutionaries – who did not take their deserved place in history, who were not given a voice by the world and were too quickly forgotten. There are still situations among us that cannot be condoned out of respect for every human being.
This is our peace manifesto, our HERstory.
