TOUCH-ME-NOT

The performance tells about the mental condition of man and the limits of endurance of human nature, about facing extreme situations posed by reality. The thematic areas taken up in the performance are the feeling of loneliness, the phenomenon of the so-called "malice of inanimate things", meanness and stupidity in behavior and interpersonal contacts, all psychological frustrations and states, including various types of disorders, incl. obsessive-compulsive or intermittent explosive. The title Impatiens are plants whose name in many languages is associated with impatience or intolerance to touch (eg the species Impatiens noli-tangere from Latin noli me tangere - "do not touch me"). The stories in the performance are characterized by a similar "impatience", accumulated subcutaneously to the limit of endurance - one impulse is enough to reach the tipping point.

The performance does not require knowledge of Polish. It is built on visual images, movement, props, and presented using a small number of words.

This project would not have been possible without the support and commitment of many people, for which I am extremely grateful. I would especially like to thank Piotr Motas for an open mind, heart, readiness to work, dedicated time and faith in the project from the beginning of its creation; Jirka Zeman, for his work on closing the project, without his support, extraordinary energy, great experience and wonderful sense of humor, it would not have been possible to finish on time. Thank you to Arek Piętak, Maciek Osmycki, Radek Nagay, who put their work and imagination into building this world with me; Novik for multi-functionality, Ula Czeleń for helping me with the worst black job and the Kana Theater Center for creating opportunities for creative work, supporting me as well as financial and organizational help. Thank you all once again.
