OKNO – CLOSE ENCOUNTERS. Kana's voices. The line of performances.
meeting with Inga Iwasiów and Krzysztof Popiołek
The November meeting within the frames of the Theatre Line as part of the OKNO – CLOSE ENCOUNTERS project will be devoted to our most recent production "Population Density". We will play it twice, we will meet the director of the show, Krzysztof Popiołek, who invited an exceptional guest: Inga Iwasiów to participate in the conversation. Inga Iwasiów's book titled “Umarł mi” [I lost him] was an important reference point while constructing the stage adaptation of Svetlana Alexievich’s prose. It helped to empathize with the victims of the explosion. Solidarity with humiliated people, with those who were deprived of their own voice, solidarity in defeat and shame – is not only close to the Chernobyl experience of Alexievich, but it also seems to be important from the perspective of Inga Iwasiów's writing. We will talk about this after the presentation of the performance.
