Concept: Paweł Kula
By collecting materials for postcards, we seek references to the local area, possible tales, situations that have occurred, and those that certainly have not happened. I asked the youth participating in the workshop to bring photos from their family albums. With these photographs as the starting point, we began to stroll around Stolec. We try to enter a frame from the past, to encounter a view existence of which we did not even suspect. We repeat some shots, staging them again, sometimes we pass the same houses, fences, fragments of the road. Other times, we do not recognize anything, we go astray and we things up a bit. We want to give voice to all these parallel worlds.
Paweł Kula – I am interested in border areas of photography, errors in photographic processes, activities outside the program of recording devices, images found and not fixed and non-camera techniques. I also use natural light sensitivity – plants, afterimages, phenomenon of phosphorescence and I build archaic optical toys. I use the potential of these experiences by inventing and running educational workshops for children, adolescents and adults. I am involved in activities of the “Oswajanie Sztuki”. I graduated from the Faculty of Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. I live in Szczecin.
