OKNO-CLOSE ENCOUNTERS 2022
The interdisciplinary project Terrestrial Transit poses a question about the critical potential of improvisational practice in relation to current activist and artistic interventions in former Eastern bloc countries, especially in Poland and Hungary, which are gaining importance in the light of the strengthening of right-wing authoritarian regimes. Referring to the artistic and autobiographical experiences of the team members, the project addresses various formats of artistic intervention, from protest to micropolitical care work. Dance improvisation, dance and sound, conversations, private memories and historical events are intertwined in the search for new potential inherent in improvisational practice, participation and resistance.
