The “Young Wolves” festival has been organized since 2014 by the Academy of Art in Szczecin. It is one of the most important reviews of young art in Poland, which has a competitive character. The jury selects a dozen or so projects from among the submitted realizations by  students of art colleges in the country, which are shown during the Festival in the form of an exhibition. Many of those who participated in the previous editions of Young Wolves now enjoy international recognition.

The authors of the awarded projects come to Szczecin and participate in the festival events. As a result, Young Wolves, in addition to the competition part, is primarily a meeting place for the youngest generation of artists, a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between students practicing contemporary art and invited guests. The festival is a platform where relevant contemporary artistic and socio-political issues are addressed and subjected to constructive reflection and criticism in an authentic meeting of different people.

This year, 10 projects were selected to participate in the exhibition “Subject River” by Zofia Nierodzińska - curator and artist, Stanislaw Ruksza - director of TRAFO, Bartosz Zaskórski - musician and artist, winner of the Young Wolves 15 competition, and Festival curators Lukasz Jastrubczak and Anna Orlikowska.
