WINDOW – CLOSE ENCOUNTERS: THE VOICES OF KANA
„NA LIGHTCIE” – ON THE ESSENCE OF LIGHT
After the performance, we would like to invite you to a meeting with Wojciech Ciesielski (among others, a lecturer of psychophysiology of vision at the Academy of Arts in Szczecin): "What the light is, no one can see".
What the light is, no one can see – fortunately – and only physicists try to comprehend its true nature. Which, of course, preventsno one from having their own (and only proper) vision of what can be seen. Being a home expert on can be seen and can be seen, is seen obvious by anyone. That is why visions in the human eye are such an extremely scenic topic to discuss.
As part of the WINDOW – CLOSE ENCOUNTERS project, we have looked at various issues of theatrefrom various perspectives. Now, for the first time, we will see so clearly “dark sides of stage” from the point of view of the experienced full-timetheatre technician. What can he tell us when he eventually managed to step out of the shade? What image of theatre can he present us after so many years of forced vigilance from behind the scenes? “Na Lighcie” is a diabolic cabinet of Dr. Caligari, an ironic philosophical treatise, a universal parable of the phenomenon of light and its absence, which allows us to think about what theatre is not and why it works against all odds.
