Orkesta Mandoza // BONDS OF CULTURE

THE SIXTH DAY

Music Meadow of Bonds
In the evenings, after performances and other festival events, we invite you to the Kana’s Meadow inaugurating its music holiday season during the Bonds of Culture. Every day you can expect a different proposition: in accord with the rhythm, direction, theme – completing them. Friendly outdoor space: deckchairs, grass, yurt, music surprises and interesting, vivid people. To have fun, to talk, and to listen... See you there!

ORKESTA MANDOZA
Tearing over dusty roads, driving towards the desert sunset in a red pick-up truck. Meter-high cacti, coyotes crying in the background. Yelling brakes, snake-skin cowboy boots pounding on the ground. Playing children slapping on pinatas. The scent of spicy burritos and sharp tequila will meet you. Guarachando!
There somewhere, hanging in a colorful hammock, the third long-player of Orkesta Mendoza was pinned down.

Sergio Mendoza is the multi-talent behind Orkesta Mendoza. "That guy is all over the place", but in a "good sense", drummer and bosom friend Jaime (James) Anthony Peters laughs.Sergio is a multi-instrumentalist and on this record he highlights his virtuosity once again.
A bit more "English" and "poppy", but he doesn't deny his Mexican roots and passion for the mambo. For fans of Calexico, Devotchka, Giant Sand, Perez Prado and Quentin Tarentino. For all those who like to demolish walls
