Weronika Fibich

Weronika Fibich

She works in the area where performative arts meet reportage and documentary. She is a director of theatre / performative actions, an interdisciplinary artist, an author of documentary films and numerous artistic projects. She has been associated with The Kana Theatre Centre since 1998. Besides her culture–creating, educational and program–related  activities within the frames of projects implemented by the Centre, for many years she has been pursuing its own original artistic path. She is interested in activities implemented outside conventional theatre space; somewhere in–between the private and public. The issue most frequently discussed by her is the concept of borderland, exclusion, memory and identity. She often applies the method of work she calls "drawing from memory". The value of "drawing" is a connection between the private and the public, the reasoned with the intuitive, the recalled with the experienced.
