A study visit to the Kana Theatre Centre
The Laboratory of Theatre Pedagogy is a course developing skills in theatre education organised by the Zagłębie Theatre and the Teacher Training Centre in Sosnowiec. In 2021, the Szczecin-based Kana Theatre Centre and the Sosnowiec-based Jan Kiepura Municipal Club joined the group of the project's partners. Kiepura Municipal Club in Sosnowiec. The aim of the course is to equip participants with a range of practical skills in the field of theatre pedagogy, which they can use in their everyday work.
We want to creatively activate the milieu of people involved in both theatre and education!
That is why the classes are addressed to artists, people of theatre, teachers and cultural animators, who’s professional activity consists of leading theatre groups, educational activities in schools, theatres schools, theatres, cultural centres, social welfare homes, NGOs, creating and implementing original educational and animation programmes. They create and implement original educational and animation programmes.
The workshop in Szczecin will focus on the method of work of the Kana Theatre team. The leaders of the theatre will share their many-year experience in the field of artistic and social work with a group of workshop participants. They will introduce them to their own philosophy of running an institution.
