Nothing personal: "Without me, the world always lasts for a while" by Weronika Fibich
The work assumed within the frames of the project "Nothing Personal" was to focus on the subject of the phenomenon of memory. We wanted to create a story about the mechanism of recalling and forgetting. The method of "the other theatre" was based on the work of a documentalist, a reporter. First, we agreed the questions, we tried to answer them. We collected all kinds of storage media: photographs, CDs, watches, shoes. We tried to read the personal saved within them. The script was constructed on stage, from the fragments, and scraps of memories. We wanted the stage form of the story to be similar to the course of the very process of remembrance: to be open to the audience and their own memories. The group of elderly persons - Lidka, Ania, Bożena, Danusia, Halina, Iza, Hania, Rysiek and Zygmunt - is a great team of people willing to share their memories with me. Each of these memories was interesting and important. We preserved them for ourselves. Only some of them were partially shared with the others and with the spectators of the very personal theatre action. "Without me, the world always lasts for a while " - is the title of our story about the phenomenon of "remembering."
