This performance is a trap. Its mechanism is created before our eyes, we are caught by it, succumbing to our habits in thinking about work and about women. The text on which the production is based was created from conversations and from meetings with women working at 1 maja Street in Lublin. It is a short street in the center of the city situated between the railway station and a busy intersection. There are over seventy service and commercial facilities employing young, older, happy, and frustrated women – their utterances are arranged in a heterogeneous tale about Poland-in-transition, about money, about coping with everyday issues, about aspirations, about children, about men, about society. In the performance, all of them will face with an unusual challenge and a unique opportunity. Is anyone going to utilize it?
