To meet the growing problem of interpretation of theatre performances, we would like to propose a formula of workshops / discussion with the audience which has proved its effectiveness during the New Theatre Festival in Rzeszow, as well as at academic conferences. The proposed workshop may comment festival events or acquaint the participants withparticular issues of theatre theory. We try to help the participants to analyze, interpret and evaluateparticular performances, or – on the basis of their theatre-related experiences – to enter into in-depth discussion on phenomena of theatre life we have found interesting. Workshop participants will be able not only to discuss performances they watch, to become familiar with history and theory of contemporary theatre, but, above all, to develop critical tools useful for watching theatre performances – and to do it in a friendly atmosphere, with the help of games, discussions and animation techniques.
